Aftercare

Following your appointment, aftercare is extremely important. Please see below for treatments that require specific aftercare, and ensure these guidelines are followed to achieve the best possible results. Failure to follow the recommended aftercare may affect your results.

Waxing

Waxing aftercare is important to help calm the skin, reduce irritation, and support smooth, long-lasting results. Immediately after treatment, the skin may appear slightly red or feel sensitive, which is completely normal and should settle within a few hours.

For the first 24–48 hours, avoid heat and friction such as hot baths, saunas, steam rooms, sunbeds, and intense exercise, as these can increase sensitivity and irritation. It's also best to avoid applying perfumed products, deodorants (on underarms), or heavy creams to freshly waxed areas during this time.

To help prevent ingrown hairs, gently exfoliate the area 2–3 times a week once the skin has settled, and keep the skin well moisturised daily. Loose, breathable clothing is recommended after body waxing to avoid rubbing and discomfort.

Lash Lifting

For the first 24–48 hours after treatment, avoid getting the lashes wet and keep them away from steam, heat, saunas, and swimming, as moisture and warmth can affect how the lift sets.

During this initial period, avoid rubbing your eyes or touching the lashes, and refrain from using mascara or oil-based products around the eye area. Sleeping on your face or pressing the lashes can also cause them to lose their shape, so try to sleep on your back where possible.

After the first 48 hours, lashes can be treated as normal, but regular conditioning with a lash serum or gentle, oil-free care will help keep them healthy and strong. With proper aftercare, a lash lift typically lasts 6–8 weeks, gradually relaxing as the natural lash cycle progresses.

Perming

For the first 48 hours after your perm, avoid washing the hair, tying it up, brushing it excessively, or applying any heat, as the curls are still setting and need time to fully form.

After this initial period, use a gentle, sulphate-free shampoo and a hydrating conditioner to help preserve moisture and enhance curl shape. It's best to detangle the hair carefully using a wide-tooth comb while it is wet and conditioned, rather than brushing when dry, to avoid frizz and disruption of the curl pattern.

Regular deep conditioning treatments are recommended to keep the hair nourished, as perms can leave hair feeling drier than usual. Avoid excessive heat styling where possible, and use a diffuser if blow-drying to help maintain curl definition.

Acrylic Nails

For the best results, avoid using your nails as tools to open, scrape, or pick at objects, as this can cause lifting, breakage, or damage to both the acrylic and natural nail.

It's important to keep your nails and cuticles hydrated by applying cuticle oil daily, which helps maintain flexibility and prevents dryness. Wearing gloves when cleaning or using harsh chemicals will also help protect the nails and extend their lifespan.

Try to avoid excessive pressure or impact on the nails, and book regular infills every 2–3 weeks to maintain structure and prevent lifting as your natural nails grow. If any lifting or damage occurs, avoid picking or pulling at the product and seek professional repair.
